Incels Research Project

Project Objectives
This project aims to:
- Explore the characteristics of individuals who identify as Incels.
- Examine the distress, hatred, and violence in their discourse, whether directed towards themselves (e.g., suicide) or towards others (e.g., generally women).
- Test the existence of Incel subgroups by developing a preliminary typology and conducting linguistic analysis of the different profiles that emerge from the corpus.
Project Evolution
A preliminary exploratory phase has been completed, and the inductive analysis has begun.
